Candy Colored Hair
I get a lot of questions about my hair. I've often thought I should sit down and take some time to log exactly what I go through to get my hair these colors and to maintain them. Well I've not actually ever taken the time to do so, but fear not inquiring minds! The ever lovely Gala Darling has! Pining for Autumn
I know. It's the dead of summer. Hot, languid, sultry DC summer. Maybe that is why I am pining for, craving for, longing for autumn. I am beyond ready for those crisp cool days and chilly evenings that allow me to dust of my wool hats and coats.

I am so not into the mustache trend. I know lots and lots of people think it's just the cutest thing right now and that's totally okay. No judgement on them. For me though, I just couldn't get into it. Maybe it's because it is facial hair. Come on, what lady wants to wear facial hair? To the point, as anti-stache as I am these googlie eyes kinda make these earrings ridiculously adorable.

Vintage Red Plaid
How freakin adorable is this vintage dress!? Love the cinched waist and bow tied sleeves. Plus it's my size (bonus!) Pair it up with a cutesy hair tie some bright giant wedges and quirky glasses. Lest we not forget the always important sweet little girlish necklace and seriously... this outfit is me to a T!

Colored Jeans
Colored jeans. You love 'em, I love 'em, a whole bunch of bloggers at the IFB conference love 'em, and it looks like for at least one more season these babies rein supreme. Here are four different retailers, with four different price points, and four different color pallets. Perfect to fit anyones pocketbook and style!
A quick story...
I love Tripp. Back in the day, you couldn't just pick up a pair of Tripp pants in the mall like you can these now. I used to make the drive up to NYC to visit Jimmy (you can find pics of him on their blog HERE) at Trash and Vaudeville, where he would always try to squeeeeeze me into a smaller size of these super duper skin tight jeans. "Jimmy, there is no way I can squish this size 11 butt into a size 7." I shouldn't give him any crap though, he was always right, and would always one way or another get me into the tightest pants possible. While I highly recommend the experience of Jimmy and the fun of Trash and Vaudeville, lucky for you, you don't have to go to NYC anymore to pick up a pair. Hot Topic always has some online and as of right now, they are buy one get one 50% off.

the 90s, it's unavoidable.
The 90s. It seems as though it's unavoidable. It's always a shock to me when things that were so ridiculous the first time around come back. Like the 90s. As I was looking through dresses online at ASOS this morning, I was thinking, "well, at least it's just spandex dresses. i mean it could be way worse. it could be oversized overalls." It was one of those moments where if your friend was there with you they'd be bug eyed and emphatically shaking their head back and forth wordlessly willing you to not say it out loud! But you do. So now, when we start seeing overalls with one strap unhooked, you can blame me. Sorry folks.

Hello, Today I Want readers!
Mackenzie here from the blog Reasons To Celebrate. I'm super jealous that Katie
is out exploring in Europe right now! I've been dying to visit Paris for pretty
much my whole life and have always been interested in the style. So when Katie
asked if I'd write a guest post I jumped on the opportunity to share
an outfit inspired by my idea of Paris fashion.
Since I've never been to Paris to
experience the fashion first hand I probably have a perception
created solely by picture perfect movies, which is actually great!
For some reason I knew I wanted to incorporate black and white stripes. Maybe it's the whole mime thing? And I always love to wear red so I thought the contrast had a cute romantic feel to it!
My next thought was about the silhouette. Dior's New Look came to mind right away so this long red a-line skirt ended up being perfect.

Rediculous Red
So you guys know I'm kinda loooooooney right? And that I tend to take things to the extreme... Like super extreme... Just wanted to remind you before I got going on this Rediculous Red Colorwheel Challenge. Oh yeah, and also, I clearly don't follow directions. G over at Tulle and Combat Boots started with orange. I started with red. Whateves!
So yeah. This is rediculous, Who in their right mind would pair all this nonsense together?
Oh wait, I guess that would be me.

I colored in the lash line and crease with the pencil and then blended with the gloss balm.
On my lips:
Mac Lipstick in Russian Red
So this is a much more realistic way I'd wear red, but after looking at the photos, I think if I skipped the beanie and clutch, I could totally get away with wearing this all together!
