Vegan Leather Trim Sweater

A vegan leather trim sweater? I know what you're thinking. Isn't it almost summer? Well yes. 

Buuuuuuut... As per the trend of this entire year so far, the weather the past week has been pretty bonkers. I drove down to Norfolk, VA to play a show last Thursday and it was 91. Yesterday I drove up to NYC and it was 58. Really spring? Can we call it halvsies and stick with something in the 70s? 

Anyway, short story: I was cold in New York, which made me really wish I had a nice warm sweater coat and some comfy pants.

There are so many bags with bows on the market right now, no matter what your price point, no matter what your style, you are bound to find one you like. Old Navy Rockstar Jeans

I love a good colored skinny jean (read more about my love affair HERE). Lucky for me the colored jean trend is still rockin' and my friends at Old Navy are pumping out the seasonal colors in their Rockstar Jean. I recently bought some of the nice new hues for fall which unfortunately were just too short for my long legs (sadly not all the colors are available in tall), but to anyone of average height, I highly recommend them. Affordable price point, wide color selection (I love the Purple Sage and Heliotrope in particular), and totally comfortable. Comfort is relative I suppose, I love mine tight (!!!) but if you don't, definitely swing by one of their shops to try some or order a few different sizes online. I've heard from other bloggers they've sized up one or two for a more comfy fit.

My birthday was this week, so I treated my self to a little "Happy Birthday to Me!" shopping spree. One of the things I purchased was this great blouse from my friends over at Piperlime (seriously, love those guys.) It's a lovely blouse, lightweight, cutie-patootie print, and a tie neck (gets me everytime!). I also love that it'll be a perfect tranistional piece from hot summer days to crisp autumn nights.

A quick story...
I love Tripp. Back in the day, you couldn't just pick up a pair of Tripp pants in the mall like you can these now. I used to make the drive up to NYC to visit Jimmy (you can find pics of him on their blog HERE) at Trash and Vaudeville, where he would always try to squeeeeeze me into a smaller size of these super duper skin tight jeans. "Jimmy, there is no way I can squish this size 11 butt into a size 7." I shouldn't give him any crap though, he was always right, and would always one way or another get me into the tightest pants possible. While I highly recommend the experience of Jimmy and the fun of Trash and Vaudeville, lucky for you, you don't have to go to NYC anymore to pick up a pair.
