I came across this marble print dress and instantly thought of my friend xoloveleti. I mean, it's not really her style, but it's white marble. ALL THE THINGS WHITE MARBLE... ... ...white marble...  

Anyway, I'd totally wear this dress and pink bomber jacket to a club with my bitch face on and be too cool for school (you can't sit with us).

Cute ASOS Blouse

How cute is this blouse from ASOS? I love the pointed cut out detail on the collar, it's a nice variation to your standard run of the mill peter pan. I mean, don't get me wrong, I am still and always will be drawn to collars of the peter pan variety, but it's nice to see it done a little differently. 

And while I personally would never pair this with a brown leather pleated skirt, I do think it's super sweet tucked into a vintage silhouette; either a circle skirt or a pencil skirt that falls at your natural waistline.

I am kind of freaking out over the Pick Up the Cent bank, the Cat Ears Ring, and (obviously!) the Charlotte Olympia Kitty Embroidery Loafers. If you can't afford the hef-hef-hefty price tag on Charlotte's loafers, the black pair is a knock off for 1/25th the price. That's quite the discount! I can't speak on their quality, but it looks as though all the reviews are positive.

Early Summer Date Night

After hanging out with some of my Blogger BFF's at Violet Boutique's Lookbook party and talking about how I just don't wear shorts, my tall blogger buddy Waverly (who was featured twice recently on Refinery29 DC!) gave my a little boost in confidance. I decided I should just be brave and DO IT! the 90s, it's unavoidable.

The 90s. It seems as though it's unavoidable. It's always a shock to me when things that were so ridiculous the first time around come back. Like the 90s. As I was looking through dresses online at ASOS this morning, I was thinking, "well, at least it's just spandex dresses. i mean it could be way worse. it could be oversized overalls." It was one of those moments where if your friend was there with you they'd be bug eyed and emphatically shaking their head back and forth wordlessly willing you to not say it out loud! But you do. So now, when we start seeing overalls with one strap unhooked, you can blame me. Sorry folks.

Having a bit of déjà vu? What can I say, I like what I like. And right now I like little lace dresses. I do realize it is winter (grumble, grumble) and that this super saturated sulfur yellow wouldn't in most peoples opinions be a wintery hue. So to balance the overly sugary tartness that is a lemon pie I've styled it a bit dark and moody. Modern Grunge, fair to say? Just apply heavy eyeliner, rub eyes, sleep in it, and the next day you can wear this outfit and feel totally authentic. Oh yeah, don't forget a bad attitude, that's like the whipped topping on the pie. And really, what is pie without whipped topping?
